When using the Microsoft Japanese Input Method Editor (IME) to enter Kanji characters in an app that automatically allow the input of Furigana characters, you might not get the correct Furigana characters and might need to enter them manually. An incompatibility issue has been found with Windows 10, version 2004 or Windows 10, version 20H2 when using an Thunderbolt NVMe Solid State Disk (SSD). On affected devices, when plugging in a Thunderbolt NVMe SSD you might receive a stop error with a blue screen and 'DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION (e6) An illegal DMA operation was attempted by a driver being verified.' Affected Windows 10 devices will have at least one Thunderbolt port and any currently available version of the driver file stornvme.sys. To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on Windows 10 devices with affected drivers from being offered Windows 10, version 2004 or Windows 10, version 20H2. Instruction to Homebrew Windows 10 ISO
This applies for option 1 and option 2.
- After downloading the right version of tool on your computer. Extract the tool (zip file), right-click, and select
Extract All option

file, this script is automated that downloads all the files using an open-source Aria2 tool. This is necessary to download multiple files at once.

TIP: To run this script on Linux, move the file to Home directory and command bash uup_download_linux.sh the same for MACOS.
This will take some minutes, use a high-speed internet connection. You can see the progress inside the command prompt window and all the files that this tool download is from Microsoft server, so yes, there is no involvement of third-party files.
By default, the tool will start to convert files to ISO once it fetches all required files. If you see some errors in downloading, simply close, and relaunch command prompt.
- Once done, LZX compression and other tasks will take place. Updates are merged to the final image, so you always get the latest build version out of the box. In the end, the script will compile the ISO and saves it. Once you see Press 0 to exit, you’re done.
- You can access the ISO file we just created going to the same folder, congratulation for your home built original and safe operating system image.

(Optional) Since you can anytime close the command prompt and resume downloads later; in that case, manually trigger the ISO conversion with Convert-UUP
file.
Bonus: If the default ISO creation settings take longer on your computer, proceed to these settings for a fast process.
From the extracted folder, delete the Config file, open the Convert-UUP file. Press 6 to edit options, enable this.
